A guided Jyotish curriculum

Learn to read a chart,
not a list of placements.

Begin with the chart's grammar, learn a repeatable interpretation sequence, then add timing and synthesis. Six stages take you from first principles to responsible judgment.

Every concept below reads differently through your own chart. Start with my chart

The chart-reading axis

One sequence. Six stages.

Each stage answers a different question. Follow them in order on your first pass; return to individual references when a real chart gives you a reason.

Build the chart vocabulary

Learn the five building blocks before interpreting any single placement: planets, signs, houses, the ascendant, and the lunar mansions.

Placement

Read where a planet acts

Combine planet, sign, and house. Treat each placement as one part of a chart, then add dignity, rulership, aspects, and conjunctions.

Combination

Recognize chart-wide patterns

Move beyond isolated placements. Yogas, doshas, strength, and compatibility only become useful when their conditions and cancellations are checked.

When

Add timing carefully

Dashas describe longer chapters; transits and panchanga describe the moving sky. Neither should be read without natal context.

Put it together

Synthesize a complete chart

Calculate first, verify the inputs, and weigh repeated themes across the chart instead of turning one placement into a prediction.

Before certainty

Understand the method and limits

Birth-time sensitivity, calculation settings, source quality, and interpretive tradition all change what can responsibly be concluded.
