How Is Human Design Gate Determined?

Contemporary interpretive framework. Human Design is a modern synthesis drawing on the I Ching, astrology, Kabbalah, and the Hindu chakra system. It is not a medical or psychological assessment.

Gate 1 is one of 64 gates arranged around the bodygraph chart, each corresponding to a hexagram in the I Ching. A gate becomes active in your chart when a planet occupies that position at birth or at the unconscious imprint moment. Gates carry themes and qualities; when a gate is bridged to its complementary gate in another center by a planetary activation on the other end, the two gates form a channel and the centers they connect become defined.
