1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Kalmanas (the "Service"), available at www.kalmanas.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Kalmanas is a Vedic astrology engine that computes birth charts (Kundali), dasha timelines, yoga detection, muhurtha analysis, and other Jyotish calculations based on classical Parashari methods. The Service is offered both as a free tier and as paid subscription plans (Graha and Rishi).

3. User Accounts

You may use basic features without creating an account. To save profiles and access premium features, you must sign in via Google Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

Kalmanas offers paid subscription plans that unlock premium features. Payments are processed securely through Razorpay (for users in India, in INR) or Stripe (for international users, in USD). We do not store your credit card or payment details — all payment information is handled directly by the respective payment processor.

Subscription plans and their pricing are listed on our Pricing page. Prices are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

5. Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your subscription at any time by contacting us at support@kalmanas.com. Upon cancellation:

• Your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period.
• You will not be charged for any subsequent billing periods after cancellation.
• You will retain access to free-tier features after your subscription expires.
• Cancellation requests are processed within 2 business days.

6. Refund Policy

We offer refunds under the following conditions, in accordance with Indian consumer protection laws:

• Full refund within 7 days: If you are unsatisfied with the Service, you may request a full refund within 7 days of your initial purchase. No questions asked.
• Technical issues: If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from using paid features and we are unable to resolve it within 5 business days, you are entitled to a full refund for the current billing period.
• Duplicate charges: If you are charged more than once for the same subscription period, the duplicate amount will be refunded in full.

To request a refund, email support@kalmanas.com with your registered email address and reason for the refund. Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days to your original payment method.

7. Disclaimer

Kalmanas provides astrological calculations for educational and entertainment purposes. The Service is based on classical Vedic astrology texts and computational methods. Astrological interpretations should not be used as a substitute for professional advice in medical, legal, financial, or other matters. We do not guarantee the accuracy of any prediction or interpretation.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on Kalmanas — including text, graphics, logos, and software — is the property of Kalmanas and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the Service without prior written permission.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kalmanas shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bangalore, Karnataka, India.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
