Questions & Answers

Which ayanamsa does Kalmanas use?

Lahiri (Chitrapaksha) by default, with 12 options including True Pushya, KP, BV Raman, Yukteswar, Fagan-Bradley, and more. You can select your preferred ayanamsa before generating a chart.

Which house system is used?

Equal (Parashari) by default, with 8 options: Sripathi, KP (Krishnamurti), Placidus, Koch, Whole Sign, Campanus, and Regiomontanus.

How are planetary positions calculated?

We use the astronomy-engine library for ephemeris calculations, then apply sidereal corrections. Positions are computed for the birth moment in UTC, converted from local time using the specified timezone offset.

How do I report an inaccuracy?

Generate a chart on the Calculator page, then click the "Report Issue" button (bottom-right corner). Select which section has the issue, describe what your software shows differently, and submit. No login required.

Will my feedback actually be reviewed?

Yes — every submission is reviewed by the developer. Accuracy is our highest priority. If you leave your email, we'll follow up on validated issues.
